Strawberry and Peanut Butter

strawberry and peanut butterThis is an excellent and quick breakfast. Full of protein, it will keep you going! Makes 1 1/4 cups.

  • 1 cup of fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of creamy peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons of protein powder
  • 2/3 cup your choice: water, coconut water, nut milk

Blend it all together and enjoy!

Benefits for strawberries: they protect your heart, increase HDL (good) cholesterol, lower your blood pressure, and guard against cancer! Packed with vitamins, fiber, and particularly high levels of antioxidants known as polyphenols. Just one serving — about eight strawberries — provides more vitamin C than an orange.

Blissful Berries Smoothie

  • 1 medium cup of Blueberries
  • 1 cup of strawberries
  • 1 banana
  • 2 cups of orange juice

Put all fruit and juice in the blender, blend until smooth

Options: substitute a mixture of 2 cups frozen fruit
